The Emptiness Within Poem by Noah Body

The Emptiness Within

Lost and all alone in the void
In the blackness, drifting alone
No sky above nor earth below
Only pain for which I must atone

If not for the pain there's be nothing
Empty is it all, no heart, no soul
Nothing but blackness above an below
Nothing to see no matter which way I roll

But the emptiness without
Is as nothing when compared
To the emptiness within
Nothing there to which I can be paired

All around me is emptiness
The void is without, me it surrounds
But the void within, it's so much worse
The emptiness within grows in leaps and bounds
