You said to trust in this friend in my time of need
Told me believe that this friend will never leave

Promised when all the other have turned away
That you, a real friend, will always stay

And you stood by my side
Helped me to brave the tide

You were a gift from above
Gave me much more then just love

Well I have done it again
I have caused that to end

I've always known that it would
Even believed that it should

I don't blame you at all
For the depth of my fall

It was a matter of time
The fault is all mine

I'm not sure what I've done
But I know it's not fun

I know no longer can you
Put up with this zoo

I thank you for being there
And even once daring to care

I will miss you my friend
I'm sorry it has to end
