The Devil Wispered Poem by Randy McClave

The Devil Wispered

The Devil whispered into my ear
He said, "I am here",
My presence you cannot ever resist
And like the storm, I do exist.
Upon you I will bring down both rain and thunder
Then with terror I will plunder,
The wind will be in my control and possession
And you will beg and plead into recession.
You will not be prepared for the storm
"In any shape or in any form",
I will bash you against the trees and the rocks
And I will create barrage that has scattered flocks.
Lightning will be at my every command
And it will strike down with the wave of my hand,
Then I will lighten up the sky
And you will fall down to your knees and cry.
From the heavens I will bring hail upon the ground
It will prove to you where a soul is bound,
And when at the storm you do stare
You will remember my whisper, that I am there.

The Devil waited for my submissive reply
So, I gave a smirk and then only a sigh,
I told the Devil that I was ready for his pride
And that God is always on my side.
