The Depth Counts Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

The Depth Counts

The cut on Julius Caesar was the unkindest
Not that Brutus made the wound deepest
But that Brutus was his most trusted man.
Sorrow of our parting is the cruelest
Not that our relation is the lengthiest
But that you had become my dearest.
