The days that have passed
Are like fallen leaves scattered
Among the rest
I wonder if they will form part
Of today and tomorrow
Like dead leaves that are embedded
On the soil and commingled
With it to be one
And continue to be part
Of the mystery of life.

Yes past days are like leaves fallen and scattered And we try to be part of them knitting seam by seam The thought behind and the thought before like balls on the floor.....very well crafted Rose Marie...10
Yes, they are like fallen leaves! But they don't disappear into thin air! They will disintegrate and mix with life. Just as the leaves mix and mingle with the soil and give rise to new life, our yesterdays will either enhance or destroy life. A very apt comparison!
BUT the truth that is part of a greater mystery, which is called Life. Enchanting poem, your deep thoughtfulness touches me hugely. May life today bring betterment than life yesterday, very captivative poetry, this gem goes absolutely to MyPoemsList. A 10 full score. Simply amazing! Thank you so much for sharing, dear great poetess!
This astonishing poem, full of the melancholy of life, reminds me of the dead leaves shredded in the autumnal sesaon, but this is no autumn, this represents the ongoing of daily life's exposures, an impressive poem, that touches my core, a lesson learned here that life is not all the time only being happy full of glee,
