The Daruman Of India Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Daruman Of India

The daruman of India,
Where does he lie fallen
By the roadside
Taking daru,
Indian daru,
Deshi daru,
Taking country spurious liquor
And lying flat
On the ground?
The dogs too wagging the tails,
Snarling and licking the mouth
Of the drunkard
Unable to stand
In full intoxication
And he ordering,
Giving the order
For to be shut up.
