The Crow's Nest Poem by Alexander Thomas

The Crow's Nest

Rating: 5.0

Sailing in time,
In the hidden depths of space,
Compressed in the unconscious,
Sailing to uncharted seas,
Floating in dreamscapes,
Warm currents,
Waves of joy,
A caressing glow,
Timeless faces in a timeless place,
Solitary notes of forgotten shores,
Reverberating sentiments,
Adrift in swelling emotion,
Carried by fate's undulating currents,
Destination unknown,
Arrival not required,
The journey is the reason,
Fly with the birds,
Into a world of divine clouds,
Follow the guiding light to peace,
From her eyes forever gleaming,
Reunited with the past,
The feelings remain,
The truth doesn't matter,
The piano tells you your story,
The place I shall float in beyond death,
Washed clean of human affliction,
Drifting through memory,
Sailing into an eternity of calm.
