Yes, the children are our future.
Yes, the students are our future.
Why, why, why are they killing them?
Why, why are they being blamed?
Let's pray and swallow our sorrow.
The children are our tomorrow.
The students are our tomorrow.
They are innocent.
They are intelligent.
Yes, the students are full of dreams.
Yes, the children possess the light beams,
Which can illuminate the world, and change things
For all. The students are earning their wings.
Pretty soon, they will be able to fly high.
They will be touching the rainbow in the sky.
Lawmakers and others must protect our children.
Let's pray for the victims who are now in heaven.
Let's stop all gun violence. Love is the answer.
Peace is the answer against hate and rancor.
Yes, the children are our future.
Yes, the students are our future.
Sick people belong in hospitals.
Let's build more jails for the criminals.
A school ought to be a sacred haven,
A refuge, a safe oasis for our children,
Where they are well educated, and treated right.
Let's stop the shootings. May God with all His might
Protect our beautiful children, who've been brilliant.
Our students are resilient. Our children are intelligent.
Yes, the children are our future.
Yes, the students are our future.
