The Challenge Of Life Poem by Socheata Mok

The Challenge Of Life

Rating: 4.5

All I did was ever be good
Yet it still feels like there's more prices to pay
When enough isn't enough and I'm broken
I thought, 'what did I ever do to deserve this fate? '

No one knows I'm falling part
I kept quiet, ever since I met the change
And when I try to speak no one's listening
They were unconcerned I was losing breath

One by one, they were letting go
Withdrawing their hands, leaving me alone
While the clock is ticking, I can't help but pray
For time to stop so that the present can wait

Just when I was about to give up on hope
I remembered someone once said
'Don't give up on life until you've seen the end.
Cherish it for the morality it teaches us is meaningful as you grow'.

The path I walk may be unstable
But someday I'll find my balance
When I can accept myself and move forward
Then I shall spread my wings and be free

Let's choose to believe in the future
Someday it'd be alright
Through the good and bad stay strong
For you haven't understood all of the meaning of life

Life is a creation
Born to struggle and challenge
It can be long and short
Creating memories of an existence

It is everything that makes humanity
It is the reason we're alive
It is the knowledge we fear
And what builds you and I

This is life

It is not yet over until it is over. A highly philosophical poem. I love the message. Thanks for sharing and remain blessed.
