The Burning Desire...
I am feeling like I am not reading a poem
But watching my heart, being opened,
until getting naked thoroughly
Leaving no veneer of even coyness...
I am feeling like my heart, being dissected
on the operation table,
and your words like a scalpel,
unfolding that lotus, petal by petal,
but with intensive care
I am feeling like, you are digging out my love,
The untold secret, buried deep in my heart
For ages together;
just known so far only to me;
been never shared with others;
That love for an angel like daughter
for whom I have been craving like a chukar,
desperately staring at the Moon!
I am feeling like your words are mine,
Which My heart wants to say,
The invincible desire of mine
that has never been appeased
of showering my fatherly affection
On a very little, very tender,
charming angel, holding
Very close to my heart with coarse hands
until my last breath….

(The chukar is the national bird of Iraq and of Pakistan, known as 'Chakor' in Sanskritand in India. In North Indian and Pakistani culture, as well as in Indian mythology, the chukar sometimes symbolizes intense, and often unrequited, love. It is said to be in love with the moon and to gaze at it constantly.)
Emotionally intense piece, and I like the comparison with the bird chukar/chakore and its love for the silver of the moon (good research I must say) .
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
