प्रायश्चित...!
मैं इतना भी नहीं क़ाबिल कि माफ़ी आपसे मांगू
अगर तुम माफ़ कर दोगे, बड़प्पन आपका होगा...
ख़ता अनजाने में की है, मैं ऐसा कह तो सकता हूँ
ख़ता फिर भी ख़ता ही हैं, मुझे ये मानना होगा...
हूँ शर्मिंदा मैं गलती पे, सज़ा चाहो बयां कर दो
रहम के मैं नहीं क़ाबिल, मुझे ये जानना होगा...
न ताक़त हैं, न शोहरत है, छू लूँ तेरी बुलंदी को
हक़ीक़त है यही सच्ची, मुझे स्वीकारना होगा...
मुरव्वत ने मुझे तेरी, बनाया हैं मुरीद तेरा
बहे जो अश्क़ बन अल्फ़ाज़ कैसे थामना होगा...

Life is embraced due to mistakes but there is repentance. For mistakes there is possibility of punishment but greatness we see through value of forgiveness. An amazing and brilliant poem is beautifully penned.10
