The Bruise On Her Face Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Bruise On Her Face

The bruise telling a lot,
The bruise on her face,
How was she shoved, dragged and beaten,
Beaten black and blue
A victim of rampant domestic violence
Afflicted with gender bias, patriarchal hegemony,
Male domination and possessiveness,
Atrocity inflicted upon,
Brutality leashed upon
Meek womankind.
