her sea has kept inside her
a school of fish and so the white herons

fly over the surface and surfs for the
her bounty

she remembers him again
before he left him she had given him all

that she is all that she has
but her bounty is her bounty still

her dignity intact her soul strong
her faith not shattered her love still pure

she keeps telling herself till then
love simply gives and takes nothing in return
