The Body And The Budget Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

The Body And The Budget

The body and the budget

The insatiable body;
From head to toe
From birth to death
Dancing and jumping
At the sight
Of basics and luxuries
Lives in houses
Thrives on foods
And beverages
Puts on clothes
And ornaments
Indulges in sensual desires
Sometimes on six pence
Sometimes on moon space
And the budget
Failing to meet mind’s estimates
Failing to satiate body’s wishes........

Beautiful poem. Very true said our wishes and desires always has inverse relationship with our budget. Loved it.
