The Black Wall Poem by Michele Weston

The Black Wall

Rating: 5.0

The black wall hides my face,
It keeps me locked inside,
I keep running the race,
There is no where to hide,
I wish my life was full of lace,
But inside all things collide.

The owners of the black wall,
Are always watching me,
They push me and make me fall,
They bring me to my knees,
I beg for mercy as I call,
They just sit and drink their tea.

I cry for help, no one hears,
I hear them there now,
The people just sit and cheer,
When he is done he takes a bow,
I'm surrounded by my fears,
I wonder, why me, and how?
