The Bible says Christ knelt and prayed
Upon the very night betrayed,
And even though Christ was afraid,
We have a Saviour who obeyed.

The Bible says Christ kept His word,
Despite the lies He overheard,
By enemies with hatred stirred,
The day God's prophecies occurred.

The Bible says Christ faced each test,
He wore a crown with thorns compressed,
Yet all our sins Christ now addressed,
Upon that hill now cursed, not blessed.

The Bible says Christ took the pain,
And persevered despite the strain
To seek the lost souls He would gain!
Behold the Lamb of God once slain!

The Bible says Christ crucified
Proves God the Father's on our side,
Forgiving us through Christ who died,
So we could be the Saviour's bride.
