The Best At What You Are Good At Poem by Francis Duggan

The Best At What You Are Good At

You may think you are the best at what you do
That there is nobody quite as great as you
But someone behind you up the ranks does rise
And that you are not the greatest you will come to realize

Yes always one better though great you may be
Since greatness can be relative as most would agree
For to find one better you may have to travel far
But out there is someone better than you are

The admiration by others in the admired one a big ego does create
Suppose it is hard to remain humble when you are told you are great
When those who admire you your praises does sing
An over pumped ego for the mind is not a healthy thing

You may think you are the best at what you are good at
And for your achievements give yourself a pat
But that there is one better you may come to realize
As some do grow older they also grow wise.
