The Beggar Girl Poem by Yasmin Khan

The Beggar Girl

Rating: 4.6

Rain-drenched, shivering,
trembling, she is standing
by the road-side.
Harassed like a wet
sparrow in the storm,
she extends her begging cup.
Hoping to collect a few
coins for her blind mother,
she will remain there
until gets enough
for to buy a loaf,
and a bowl of daal*.

We don't know how many people are shattered from inside by the cruelity of storms breaking inside them!

I am sure you have got the heart of an angel. It really makes sad to see a child working or a girl begging. A very touching piece that says a lot in few lines.10/10

A moving picture! A boat adrift on stormy seas... a leaf at the mercy of winds and a storm brewing inside! ! Simple but powerful!
