The Bearer Of My Sin Poem by asaolu kolawole ifedayo

The Bearer Of My Sin

THE BEARER OF MY SIN
O! Take a look at him
in hope so fragile and bright
tears from his enduring cross
measuring grace disgusting
canopy of raining darkness
across the sky that sighs

O! see his wretched sight
the flesh so broken with spear
By the wickedness of men
O! see his thorny crown
prompting injured skull for pouring blood
thousand of scars pleading for peace

His nose was bruised
breathing in the oxygen of my sin
his mouth was punctured
enduring the tongue of my deception
his eyes was spat at
carrying the lust of my own eyes
his side so heavily wounded
witnessing for me in my desiring pleasure

But you speaks no guile
iam the one that lies
But you killed no man
its me that hate
But you had no sin
its me that that sins

O! Jesus, what greater love is this
that you took away my war
and clothed me with peace
you took away guilt
and clothed me with confidence
you took away my sorrow
and clothed me with joy

I will spend my moment in praises
I will adore him in his majesty
I will walk with CHRIST in the garden of God
I will worship the kings of kings
and let the whole earth rejoice in this
for the bearer of our sins has given us second chance
