Thats Tedious Poem by Pramod Pisharody

Thats Tedious

July 31st is coming
Everyone is running
Away from the rains?
No! To submit their capital gains
Boss asks 'Where have you been? '
You say 'To Accounts, for Form 16'!
In case you don't know where we are,
We are talking of ITR!
Just before you feel you can,
Make sure you have a PAN,
Instructions come later,
Blanks and boxes come earlier,
Three taxes in one statement,
TDS, advance and self assessment,
Too many additions,
Very few deductions,
Talking of rebate,
There's more to debate!
Of all the tax payable,
Is there something refundable?
Talking of fringe,
Companies feel the pinch!
Well, there's also a Tax Return Planner,
To get things done in a professional manner,
Wait before you heave a sigh of relief,
Maybe a revised return will beat your belief!
Link up to Aadhaar,
To be in a safe radar,
Print and post acknowledgement,
Hope there was better paper management!
Too many days to count,
For the refund to reach your account!
Who knows when the Finance Ministry,
will give an about turn,
With India's so called 'Income Tax Return'?
Well, life aint that honest, natural and happy,
A SARAL, SAHAJ or SUGAM will be back again in your lappie!
