Terror Poem by Suresh Kumar

Terror

Always you use terror to secure your comfort
Always you use terror to secure your privilege
Always you use terror to secure your interests
Always you use terror to secure your money
Always you use terror to secure your power
Always you use terror to secure your clout
Always you use terror to secure your lust
Always you use terror to secure your ego
Always you use terror to secure your revenge
And you use terror to make people scared
And you use terror to make people submit
And you use terror to take their petty lives
And you use terror to get their will bruised
And you use terror to get their spirits desolate
And you use terror to get their hopes exhaust
And you use terror to make their lands hellish
And you use terror to make their life wretched
And you use terror to make their peace upset
Still ashamed you are to call yourself a defender of justice
And call those resentful among your victims, terrorists
And they use their resentments as pretext to unleash terror
Both in the minds of their tormentors and own people
Who crave for peace amid the whirlpools of terrors
Built by the dirty hands of initiators from home and abroad
And they not feel ashamed to call themselves crusaders of justice
By feasting on the flesh and blood of their own brethren
Sunk deep into such inexorable swamps of terror
Their victims fail to, unable to, incapacitated to feel for life
And they desperately struggle themselves to unearth
The wheels of hope and life they lost in those terrors
But the staring truth that remains is terror breeds terror,
and you can't fight terror with terror without having
to jeopardize one's own peace and well-being, a truth that
a Great Man from India realized in his fight against terror
