Temptation I could not resist.
I was on insanity's brink.
My shoplifting sprees did persist.
Desperate, I went to a shrink.
Kleptomania therapy
I had for eighteen months intense.
The Doc said that cured I did be.
And to prove it, as evidence
I'd go straight to a big box store,
And walk through all the aisles around.
I'd not be tempted anymore,
To shoplifting no longer bound.
'If you relapse, ' Doc says to me,
'I sure could use a new T.V.'
Your doctor turns out to be vulnerable to temptations himself, which is no joke, but when you let us in on it, we all laugh. I'm boggled..
Hi Poet Ima Ryma, I loved the poem., especially the humour..
Your doctor has a great sense of humor. I call it laughter therapy.

I would like to translate this poem
Most of your poems always have that understatement tone, like this one, the disease is scary of course, but what the end result of the therapy is, the doctor says, if you relapse, he needs a new TV. That ended hilariously! I really enjoyed your beautiful fiction poem, great talent for humor 5 Stars!
