Tears Poem by Heart Of Ink

Tears

Don't stop the tears from falling
Let those precious tears fall
I heard the cry of desperation
And so I answered the call

A hundred years of waiting
And still I wasn't born
My time came after treason
Had already planted its thorns

Deep in this umma's body
I see this falseness growing
Just because it's history
Don't mean it's worth knowing

We are the sheep of our enemies
They guide us towards killing
We say that we are holy
But doesn't holy make living?

Don't stop the tears from falling
Let those precious rivers form
For the purest hearts do one thing
Make water pure and warm

A hundred years of aching
In dirt and mud as I crawl
To see the sun that is shining
In front of me was all

The mercy I was denied
Lest I know I'm alive
The beauty I was denied
Lest by love, I thrive

And destroy your empty castle
Of fear and hatred and lies
Put you in tombs that devils
Would forever occupy
