Heart Of Ink

Heart Of Ink Poems

It's only a matter of time
Before I allow myself to fall asleep
Listening to a song on the radio
Just to bring back a few memories
...

We are not who we are
Only what is left of us
And we fight for a cause
That nobody understands
...

Far too lonely
Staring at the horizon
Wishing it would hold me
I'm desperate for something
...

I disappeared among the crowds
And found myself in shattered grounds
I hailed a thought unfamiliar to me
Then failed a feeling that inspired me
...

I'm a poet by nature
Meaning that nature does influence my work
And lately I've been trying mostly
To reconnect with these words
...

She soars like a bird
In the midnight sky, carrying signs
Of Inventible failure, the one you'd
Read about in tomorrow's paper
...

I've never been quite comfortable here
As i've been in some other places
Light casts a shadow behind my fears
Making them bigger than they already are
...

Hi there, everyone
How are you feeling?
Today's another day
How are you dealing?
...

I want you to look at me
The way I look at you
The way I want to be
From my own point of view
...

New year's eve
Not a night I would spend
Outside of this city
...

Innocence's dead,
As well as everything else
Vengeance's sweet,
When tucked behind his teeth
...

We are not who we are
Only what is left of us
And we fight for a cause
That nobody understands
...

Freedom calls
Inside these walls
I'm comfortable enough
With what I know
...

I heard the sound of a distant whisper
Begging me to walk through a threshold
To me it felt like it was somewhat familiar
And that I might've already known
...

I can't describe my future
More than you can with your past
Somethings are simply broken
And we can never have them back
...

It's empty here inside
There's nothing here to hide
It's comforting to realize
I don't need to anymore
...

17.

Every single word you said
Must have been inside my head
But I just couldn't bring these words to life
...

The absence of the mind
And the presence of the heart
We can't live without our eyes
But looking at the world can be pretty hard
...

I had a dream
I woke up too soon
On the mountain with you
And all the animals were there
...

20.

We are the banished ones
And perhaps we always will be
Is the world too crowded for us?
Is the world too mundane?
...

It's only a matter of time
Before I allow myself to fall asleep
Listening to a song on the radio
Just to bring back a few memories
I feel as though I lost my way
Everything's sucked into this angle
Of a transparent human heart
That the world just can't untangle

A little short out of breath
Before I entered this land of puberty
Drowning in my mother's womb
Just to learn that I'm a broken seed
I feel as though I lost my aim
Nothing's pushed to throw me over
This path of self-deprecation
But the worst will soon pass under
