The Seed Of Love Poem by Heart Of Ink

The Seed Of Love

Far too lonely
Staring at the horizon
Wishing it would hold me
I'm desperate for something
Let go of whatever you'll become
And just let yourself breathe on freely

My heart's aching
My fingers are stretching wider
One step back into the emptiness
Please, let us beg not a step further
With both of your arms and your fists
Now just let yourself break on forever

And hold on to the pieces
I'd forget all of these ugly faces
Except for one, just a single wrong
It made you fall far too deep for me
To catch you here in my arms

Would I say I love you
After all the times I hated you
Would I say I need you
When I'm the one who drove you away
It's true

Would it make a difference?
Now that you're imprisoned
With the dust of civilization and its remains

I buried you down with them
Yes, all of your foes and enemies
Because I was your only friend
And I'm thinking about you just the same

And it makes me wonder
About the light and the thunder
The days that we ignored the sun
And let the spring pass by our flowers

Would it make a difference?
Now I'm planting one with impatience
Throwing away the order of the elements
That nature that is tearing us apart

It's a good thing to know
That the seed of love now grows
In spite of the rain and the snow
It isn't bound by troubled soil
