Tarnished Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Tarnished Love

Stranded on an inner island no one can reach
me anymore as my eyes stay glued on tomorrow's
horizon.

Finished, done with the life of society, turning
from love and it's tarnished burning fire.

Having nothing more to do with those professing
love through their lying teeth.

Arousing desire and want, pretending to care and
love, but in reality their heart lies in someone
else's bed, filled with lust.
