Take A Moment Poem by Mustafa Marconi

Take A Moment

Hey girl, how you doing
Sorry I missed your call last night
Had to press to find a moment
To see if you were free tonight
The morning chill has revived my senses
I aim to touch your inner light
I lay my jewels and pearls before you
In hope that love can make things right
When you are up my soul is resting
And when I rise you’re sound asleep
Add the space and time between us
And doubt will skew your inner peace
I understand how much you need me
And how you cry when I’m not there
But as long as faith keeps us together
I pledge to honor what we share
Hey girl, how you doing
Missed your call at work last night
Had to stop and take a moment
To see if you could leave tonight
The morning sun has revitalized me
I aim to soothe your inner light
An invitation to entertain you
In hope that love can make things right
While you fly I will be resting
And when you arrive I’ll forego sleep
No space nor time shall come between us
And I shall calm your inner peace
I understand how much I need you
And how I change when your not here
But as long as faith keeps us together
I pledge to honor this thing we share
Hey girl, how you doing
I pray you slept in peace last night
It’s time we both just took a moment
In hope that love can make things right
