Sweet Sixteen Poem by June Stepansky

Sweet Sixteen

Sixteen is a good age,
if you’re dating someone handsome
with a nice car.
Someone who takes you
for pizza and Chinese food,
and teaches you the intricacies
of jitterbugging:
who walks with you
along a moonlit lakefront path
holding your small hand
in his larger one,
who kisses you and
makes you feel
loved and beautiful.

Even now so many years
after we followed
our separate destinies,
moments of remembrance
brush my memory and
I am sixteen again, and
he is seventeen and
very handsome.

I think Sweet Sixteen is......I'm sorry man if I comment like this, I just want to give some comment also...no hard feelings....but to see our youths kissing, hugging, and doing something is so immoral...as a defend on my attack to those youths...they're not suppose to do like that, they're still dependent to their parents..sorry man...but I like what you've wrote but the theme is.......something like tolerating youths to do such things.
