Exploring Happiness- #59- Simulation Of Youth

Looking nice
is a simulation of youth.
A pleasant dinner
is a simulation of youth.
The companionship of children,
a day at the beach,
an ice cream cone,
flowers, chocolates,
are all perennial reminders
of the energy, and the enthusiasm
and the hope
of being young.

As we grow older, we can sometimes become so involved in the daily demands of life that we may lose the enthusiasm for living that we once had as children.

It then becomes important to replace those past joys with small, happy reminders of the past to help us make our present more joyful, and to continuously remind us that in a cherished corner of our hearts a loving whisper of our childhood happiness will remain forever.

Youth is happy because it has the ability to see beauty. Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old.
Franz Kafka

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; It is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.
Samuel Ullman
