Sunrise Poem by moon dust

Sunrise

Before the storm
Morning started
I know because I saw the pink sky
And the neighbors' barn reflected the glow
Somewhere
After the mountaintops and before the eagles cannot fly
The day stopped
I noticed
When it clouded and grew dim
The way an easterner will look up
At the unexpected appearance of the sun
Of course the day went on
Still is
But it is the day before the storm
And the land of enchantment holds no mystery under grey
Only by sunlight
When the desert sparkles
And moonbeams to make it all look pretend
Does she enchant
Today
Working under clouds
With wind, snows, and rain
She creates visions worthy of next mornings sun.
