Summer Day On Bloor Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Summer Day On Bloor

Summer day on Bloor

Well aware of their job on sidewalk
Cleaner than master, organized
Beggar's dogs black and white

Holding bags, suits and ties
Well dressed in high heels
Rosy cheeks with makeup
Walk along with t-shirts
Wife beater, noodle straps
Some fresh to go out
Some tired and worn out

Helmet on and on bikes
Men, women, showing butts
In the cars and on the buss
Road-crossing, legal and illegal
Waving hand for taxi on roadside

Rainbow flag
Muslim scarf
On day of First-Nations

It's Eden
The garden of Heaven
Flowers of all kind
We live in Canada
