Statements To Make Them Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Statements To Make Them

Statements to make them.
Publicly to perform and announce.
Then to claim not to have said.
To initiate an argument,
Or a heated debate to start...
Among those who listen.
And others who pay no attention.
Overhearing...
The spewing of nonsense heard.

Should these days,
Make little difference.
When too many are caught up,
Addressing impressions to make.
While tossing their garbage,
On urban streets.
Leaving it to imagine,
How nasty...
Their own backyards must be!
