State Fair Fun Poem by Marilyn Lott

Do you ever spend a relaxing time
Strolling around the State Fair?
You can easily take the entire day
So many fun things to see there

Cows with wet friendly noses
I even saw Camels one time
Kids showing off their animals
Many wonderful special kinds

Impressive Texas Longhorns
Why I saw some a few years ago
Lifting their proud handsome heads
Moms even had their babies in tow

And of course you have to eat
Delicious and wonderful food
Concession stands are everywhere
That put you in the eatin’ mood

It won’t be long now, you know
So even if you’re always on the run
You must mark it on your calendar
To take time out for State Fair fun!
