Spring Rain Poem by Marilyn Lott

Spring Rain

It has rained and rained and rained
It never stops it seems
Oh, how I would love sunshine
But, for now it is only in my dreams.

I sit at home and watch the weather
After the news on TV
I see no good that the rain will do
Too much water it seems to me.

But to whine and piss ‘n moan
Doesn't do a bit of good
For many folks have it so much worse
In their neighborhood.

So I will wait and think about how
The warm sunshine and the rain
Will bring the flowers to full bloom
Birds and bees will be out once again!
