Spring Rains Poem by Marilyn Lott

Spring Rains

Rating: 5.0

As I sit and look out my window
I watch as the hummingbirds
Swarm my tempting bird feeder
I’m captivated beyond words

For while this is taking place
Ever softly the rains will come
It’s a sight that warms my heart
The gentle showers and sweet hum

This time of year is my favorite
As nature makes a change
It takes place so subtly
The wild seems to turn tame

The flowers are just beginning
A lovely scent now fills the air
Mother Nature seems to prove
With her beauty she wants to share

Though we still may be having storms
And we wish they would refrain
At times we can enjoy
The warm gentle spring rains!
