Spirit Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Spirit

I am so solid
I come with knowledge
You so obsessed
Never running out mileage
i'm flying higher
the skys the limit
heart of the sun
you can not dim it
caribbean diamond
paradise island
Great is his mind,
Land, uncolonized
You still in shackles
Caged are dem jackles
I'm Marcquiese Burrell
I got that fire
given them hell
Cameroon to Dominica
Sovereign status
Land of the savage
Nubian pride
runnin' through my veins
You do not know me
like seasons, I do change
