Sowing A Seed Poem by zarina binda

Sowing A Seed

Rating: 4.5

I smile when I'm happy.
I do it even in public.
I was doing it
when a man and his wife came up to me.
'Why do you smile? ' He asked.
To which the wife replied for me:
'Because i'm dumb.' and laughed.
My smile grew larger as i looked
From husband to Wife.
' Just because i am happy' I said.
A smile grew on the husbands face.
Wife rolled her eyes in irritation.
My smile grew even bigger still.
So there were still enough smiles
For three people.

A different approach of conversation gives it a new angle. Lovely.

I like the conversational exchange too! I'm glad the narrator was mature enough to realize that another person's negativity isn't worth refusing to sow a seed. Thanks for sharing.
