Sometimes I Feel I Could Have Been So Much

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I feel I could have been so much
I could have been perhaps
An English language songwriter
A third-rate character-actor
A slightly off- tune singer
A hit-and-miss comedian
A poor journalist
Instead I became
A mediocre writer
A too prolific less than minor poet
I could have been perhaps many things
But I am only what I chose to try to be
And this it seems to me
Is sometimes so so much
And other times
Nothing much at all.
