Sometimes I Do Not Have Anything To Say Poem by Shalom Freedman

Sometimes I Do Not Have Anything To Say

SOMETIMES I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY

Things go on
Life goes on
Sometimes I do not have anything to say
Even to the people I love
Nothing new in my life
No great new story
No adventure
Nothing much going on
Nothing to say
Just going on
Nothing to say
Nothing to give to those I love
Not even words
An old man tired and quiet
And not unhappy
But with nothing to say
Not even to those I love.
