Something More Poem by Katherine Sessor

Something More

Rating: 5.0

Do people see me as I pass by
Or am I just another face?
Can they see the girl inside
Who's trying to find her place?

When I speak, do people hear,
Or am I just another noise?
Can they tell how much I fear
That no one will recognize my voice?

Do people even know my name
Or am I completely unknown?
Can't they see I'm not the same
As other people they are shown?

When I cry, do people care,
Or am I an insignificant girl?
Can't they tell that inside I'm rare,
Like a unique, precious pearl?

There's certainly a girl inside here, who's finding her voice. You have genuine feelings and express them well,
