Something Made Poem by Sierra Staten

Something Made

As you say goodbye-
piercing words like needles in my spine
It's hard to move on with you always on my mind,
spending most my time away in a distant memory,
but now the pain is real, all the pain and misery

But there's a light- a silver lining in this dark and lonesome fate
I see your smile and those eyes of yours light up the entire place
And now i know the love I swore I used to feel was fake
Now the love i have is something felt, not something made.
