Something in me will not go away
I have to write something each day
Except when it is Shabbat or a holy day-

I know it is probably not very good
It is probably only for myself
But I must write-

It is something like
My having to pray each day
A religious duty
An obligation-

I do it
And when it is done
And I feel I have done it
I can rest a bit inside
And feel I have done something
I had to do-

Even though I sense
I am fooling myself
As in writing this now.
