Some Poem by Randy McClave

Some

Some took her to a buffet
Where she could eat and eat all day,
But, I instead took her out to dine
With the finest food, and wine.

Some were ashamed of the clothes that she wore
They weren't new from the store,
So, proudly I went out and bought her new clothes
I then gave her a rose.

Some people always put her last
First always they placed the exes of their past,
But, I instead always had put her first
With pride and honor from me she was immersed.

Some enjoyed giving her pain
Whether physical or mental upon her it did rain,
But, unto her I could never or would never cause her hurt
I could never treat anyone like dirt.

Some enjoyed to always use her
As a cook, a maid, a chauffeur even a mother,
But, of her I could never take advantage
She was my bandage.

Some had promised then swore her the sky
And she always believed in their lie,
But, wherever she was promised bound
She always ended face down on the ground.

Some saw her only as needy and stupid
As she always searched for the arrows of Cupid,
Never did I, or would I treat her as dumb
But, then there are always the some.
