Solar Chicken Pox Poem by Fabio Lewinski

Solar Chicken Pox

I'm trying to envision a time in which we choose to embrace God's love instead of fighting over what his face looks like.

We'll find it within ourselves.
We'll look closely from far away.

We put our time and money and faith and heart into this war as the world crumbles at our feet.

Well I'll tell you where my heart lies:

It's somewhere in the desert of Ethiopia in the eyes of a child with the sun beating down upon his back and his stomach hollowed out by an unjust, f***ed up world.

I hope he can feel my heart beating inside him
