A bullet in his head, and remorse in his heart
Men around him falling, it's been this way from the start
The sides lose importance, we're all human beings,

In Father Time and Mother Nature, and in their precious son, the Holy Sand.
A misread prophecy,
A desperate resolution,
And a strike.

I'm trying to envision a time in which we choose to embrace God's love instead of fighting over what his face looks like.
We'll find it within ourselves.
We'll look closely from far away.

There you stand, somewhere between the shadows of my mistakes.
Untouched by darkness, your head is turned away.
I am consumed by the bruises you left me.
Your careless words deceive my delicate mind-instead I listen to your glances.
...
Above all else you made my life a living hell.
Oh well.
Erase the trace,
Cover up the smell.
...
You are always followed by your hypocrisy,
Proceeded by the lack of loyalty you display.
It's shameful, but doors have locks for a reason.
Turn it, hide the key, find the next one.

A painted time, the killer of all things innocent
All that is taught is temporary
All that is learned is regret
This grows truer everyday

He kicks the ball, runs around with his friends
He gets knocked down, roughed up, and then gets up again.
They games they change and the numbers add,
But the kids stay intact through the changing times.

Questions calling upon my name,
A bare page waits out in the road.
Falling into something new,
Compassion bears a heavy load.

I'm being honest about myself in a dishonest way. But this is the only way I know how to speak my mind. myspace.com/htgtt ...Oh and by the way, the titles of my poems (except for 'September Is Misconception' and 'Graduinitiation') mean absolutely nothing, however, their content is quite meaningful.)
Not I, Said The Cat
A bullet in his head, and remorse in his heart
Men around him falling, it's been this way from the start
The sides lose importance, we're all human beings,
So Stop trying to give this war some special meaning
We've been burdened by a legacy of dominance,
Blinding us, making us lose our common sense
The face of our actions, it's so drastically fraud
How ironic it is when we try to play God
We condemn our kids for fighting each other,
'Stop, George, how could you hit your brother? '
Yet we have no problem taking other human lives,
No reason's enough to use bombs guns and knives
The adults are just little kids whose fights are more gory
And they try to justify it by calling this 'glory'
Hypocrisy, dehumanization, disgrace
Too ignorant to sit down and talk face to face
How about we discuss this before we erupt,
Because I'm sick of this war, won't you grow the hell up?
If you have grown weary, If you've had enough,
Then don't hold it in, it's time to speak up
