Graduinitiation Poem by Fabio Lewinski

Graduinitiation

Questions calling upon my name,
A bare page waits out in the road.
Falling into something new,
Compassion bears a heavy load.

I know you'll be here all the while,
Frozen as I play my role.
It's great that our minds think alike,
Selflessness; a heavy toll

Compassion bears a heavy load,
Selflessness; a heavy toll
I'm digging in,
You're digging out,
Selflessness; a heavy toll
(end of chorus)

Hey hey chin up now it's alright,
We'll reinact this before too long.
Be brave and trust in what you've made,
It takes a love to be this strong.

My back is turned, your face is wet,
But our hearts lie on the same plane.
The product of our time has come,
Through pride and joy you'll ease this pain

It takes a love to be this strong,
Through pride and joy you'll ease this pain.
Someday we'll look back with frail eyes,
Through pride and joy you'll ease this pain.
It takes a love to be this strong,
Through pride and joy you'll ease this pain.
