So Openly
So openly
Any girl shall like
And mostly strike
At the proposal
With no refusal
But to fear
Rejection words in ears
Makes it difficult
Like full throttle insult
If girl says "no"
You shall have no place to go
As you have build dream palace
For her to live in such case
Yes it is an early age
With lot more to inscribe on page
Paint her as "heavenly princess"
And only reason to bring happiness
But it lacks resolve
That you must solve
With lot more assertive words
So openly used to look onward

Ah rejection. It's such a painful thing. I agree...when someone says no, it's difficult not to take it personally or see it as a full throttle insult as you say. But what is done is done, and we must find the strength in us to look onward despite the pain. Thank you for sharing this poem Hasmukh!
