So Many Stones On Us Poem by Naveed Akram

So Many Stones On Us

So many stones were cast that I swivel and stretch,
Cowering from forms of remembrance, forces of dislike.
The triangle is another image of the way we describe
A pitfall, for the three rights are the only sights and only pillars.
Stones will break the winds over the towers in the sky,
Up there, my discussion is surrendering and towering also.
So many stones are against the righteous site and sitting,
So leave the worst work, stretch towards the sky and learn.

My story is just, for I work among the stars in a dream so right,
As pigeons fight the wind in the sky, the tower of the towers.
Theirs is theirs, a meagre existence so fraught with danger,
Our safe men are the fathers of the sky, the penalties of the death,
One calls another some other name, but my age is preserved.
And so I glorify my verse in such ways so that is my price,
Strong are thoughts of right, stronger than the ways of the sight of light.
So keep the danger of the swinging boulders in the night sky.
