Snowflake Poem by Jeff Stoddart

Snowflake

One evening many years ago
When I was but a child,
A snowflake fell at Christmas
And I was so beguiled.!

And when I woke next morning
And shed the fears of night,
I looked out from my window
To a world all cloaked in white.

A snowflake fell again last night
And filled my mind with wonder
Tears filled my eye, i know not why
As on this theme I ponder.

Time steals away so quickly
Remorseless as the sea
Yet the memory of that snowflake
Will allways comfort me.
