Snowflake Poem by Jason Danner

Snowflake

Rating: 5.0

God's reasons
Are seasons
That change over time.
But seasons of change,
Happen over years of your life.

So, as the season changes
From summer to fall,
We mourn the loss
Of someone close to us all.
The loss of a matriarch, mother, and friend
The loss a wife, wisdom, and zen.

Fall turns to winter
And the weather grows cold,
But sadness and coldness,
Must not encompass
Our souls.

Remember the uniqueness of every snowflake created
As this is a concept,
Only humans can relate too.
We are all special,
In our own special way,
But sadly,
The warmth of God,
Has taken our special snowflake away.

But as the snowflake melts,
It does not leave us at all,
It simply changes to the water,
That still helps us all.

And as the season changes from winter to spring,
It is amazing the life,
that water still brings.
So do not despair,
In this time of your grief,
But rather,
Remember the individuality
That made our snowflake unique.
Remember her smile, hugs, and her kiss,
Remember the Christmases we shared in her bliss,
Remember the times that we sat and we talked,
Remember the times on the sand that we walked,
Remember her uniqueness and the wisdom she shared,
Most of all…Remember, like the snowflake, she is still here
